In a recently uploaded short video, the official ARC Raiders YouTube page teases a new instrument, a few days before the highly anticipated Shrouded Sky update. The second month of content updates planned during the Escalation period, Shrouded Sky, is expected to bring a new map condition called Hurricane, a new ARC threat, player projects, a second expedition, and more. A new instrument might just be one of the many things that the Raiders can look forward to in the coming weeks.

A piano is joining the list of playable instruments in ARC Raiders
New teaser reveals a piano
Patrick Söderlund, the CEO of Embark Studios and newly appointed Executive Chairman of Nexon, had previously mentioned his advocacy for instruments in ARC Raiders. In an interview with IGN, Patrick stated the following when asked about his plans for additional instruments:
“If you ask the team, ‘Who has been the biggest advocate for instruments?’ They will send you a picture of me. I was so upset that we only had one at launch, and I kept [saying], ‘Where are my instruments?'”
Söderlund went on to mention that more instruments are in development, and the latest teaser from Embark Studios seems to be teasing exactly that.

The video shows two Raiders playing a guitar and a shaker while standing beside what looks like a console piano. One of the Raiders then switches their instruments and starts playing the piano as the melody maintains a rhythm similar to how different instruments synchronize. The teaser ends hilariously as a pop appears to put a stop to this musical encounter.
More on Shrouded Sky update
With the Shrouded Sky update right around the corner, fans are speculating that this teaser indicates pianos are going to become a playable instrument following the update.
Unlike the previous instruments that could be carried by the Raiders, the piano is not a portable item. Therefore, players might have to visit residential areas to find one and interact with it to play the keys.
That said, this is one of the many things that are set to be introduced with the second phase of Escalation season on February 24, 2026.
