She has PTSD from all the injuries”, “This coach has to go

WNBA star Caitlin Clark is battling an ongoing back injury and is listed as probable for the Indiana Fever on Thursday. The Fever is set to face the Golden State Valkyries without their best player.

During the team’s pregame shootaround, coach Stephanie White was asked about Clark’s status moving forward. IndyStarSports’ Chloe Peterson brought up that the former Iowa star told the media that she could be listed as probable moving forward due to her back issues. She asked White if it’s something that she anticipates doing to address the Fever star’s current injury.

“I think the most important thing is, while we hope what happened last week doesn’t happen again. Just to make sure that there’s clarity and no issues with league policy, I think that we will (list Clark as probable),” White said on Thursday. “You can expect to see it probable going forward.”

However, WNBA fans did not like what White said about Caitlin Clark and had something to say about the Fever coach. Here are some of what the fans said.

“Manipulating the injury report to avoid transparency? I’m sure the league will have to step in, again. Why is it so hard to follow the rules?” a fan said.

“CC looks look fine with yesterday and today practice. She also went to the baseball game. If yall really concerned about her ‘injury’ issue then why is she not resting at home then?” another fan commented.

“Oh please this coach has to go!!!#firestephwhite” one fan said.

Other fans believe that Clark is taking her time through her injuries.

“IT’s a mental thing folks…She has PTSD from all the injuries and I think genuinely does wake up feeling like she can’t go full speed,” someone commented.

“CC said herself that she might as well go on the injury list as “probable“ for every game and now people are complaining 🙄” a comment read.

“Now everyone can calm down. Lmao,” one fan commented.

The Fever Wants Caitlin Clark to be at Her Best

Last season, Caitlin Clark had to deal with muscle-related injuries and setbacks. She was limited to only 13 games, averaging 16.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 8.8 assists.

This season, the Fever doesn’t want to repeat what they went through with Clark. This is why they’ve taken an extra step in protecting their star player by listing her as probable until she feels she’s at her best.

In the 2026 season, she has played in five games, averaging 23.8 ppg, 4.4 rpg and 9.0 apg. While Caitlin Clark is putting up the best numbers of her career, the Fever wants her to prioritize her health.
