Bears star Caleb Williams snubs Patrick Mahomes from his all-time QB Mount Rushmore list

On Monday, Chicago Bears star Caleb Williams revealed his quarterback Mount Rushmore. However, while naming his top four signal callers, he snubbed one well-known current player from this list.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is arguably one of the best players in this position in the current era. With three Super Bowl championships, some consider him to be in the GOAT debate alongside retired legend Tom Brady.

However, Caleb Williams snubbed Mahomes from his Mount Rushmore of quarterbacks.

“Tom (Brady), I’m gonna go Aaron (Rodgers), Peyton (Manning) and I’m gonna go Joe Montana,” Williams said.

Caleb Williams and Patrick Mahomes have not faced each other so far because the Bears and the Chiefs play in different conferences. Last season, the Bears had a better campaign compared to the Chiefs.

Following an underwhelming rookie campaign, Williams showed a lot of improvement and growth under new coach Ben Johnson. They made the playoffs after emerging as the NFC North champions.

The Bears defeated the Packers in a wild-card game, but were eliminated by the Los Angeles Rams in a divisional round showdown. Caleb Williams finished the regular season recording 3,942 yards and 27 TDs passing.

On the other hand, the Chiefs finished third in the AFC West with a 6-11 record. This was the first time since 2014 that they failed to qualify for the postseason.

In addition to this, Patrick Mahomes suffered a torn ACL injury during a game against the Chargers in December. The quarterback later underwent surgery and is currently rehabilitating to potentially make a comeback in Week 1 of the 2026 season.

Caleb Williams discusses his goals for the 2026 season

Entering Year 3, Caleb Williams will be aiming for another playoff run with the Chicago Bears. The quarterback is also focusing on improving his own game on the field.

On Thursday, while speaking with the press, Williams highlighted some of the areas he’s looking to improve on.

“It’s just get the completion percentage up, keep the offense on the field more, score as many points possible, be the highest-scoring offense, because that’s my part in the team,” Williams said. “Going out there and orchestrating it and being able to to go out there and score whether it’s handoffs or passes, whatever that doesn’t matter.

“It’s just being able to put up as many points as possible to help our team win as many games as possible and then keep the turnovers very low.”

The Bears will face the Carolina Panthers on the road in their season opener on Sept. 13 at 1 p.m. ET.
