The Chicago Bears took an early lead in the first quarter after quarterback Case Keenum found wide receiver Luther Burden III for an eight-yard passing TD. They extended their lead to 10-0 after Cairo Santos’ 29-yard field goal.

However, right before halftime, Jalen Hurts cut the deficit to 10-7 with a one-yard rushing TD after a quarterback sneak. But that was the only time the Eagles found themselves on the scoreboard.

In the second half, Keenum scored two more touchdowns for the Bears. Santos also scored a 48-yard field goal to give Ben Johnson and his team their second win of the season.

Nick Sirianni shares his thoughts after disappointing 27-7 loss to the Bears

In the postgame presser, Nick Sirianni took responsibility for the humiliating loss in Chicago.

He also said that the team has to collectively own up to the loss and improve on their performance going forward.

“I think we all have to own that loss right there,” Sirianni said. “I don’t think anybody coached well. I don’t think anyone played well. It was a true team loss. And when it’s a true team loss, I have to look at myself first. We weren’t ready to coach. We weren’t ready to play.

“And that ultimately starts and ends with me. It’s my responsibility. Every product, everything that’s on that field is my responsibility. I didn’t do a good enough job. We will keep coaching like crazy. … It always starts with me and it always ends with me.”

Sirianni and his team will be looking for redemption when they face the Los Angeles Rams in Week 4 on Oct. 4.
