Ex-FS1 host Joy Taylor takes brutal swipe at Sydney Sweeney over controversial sports ad

Sydney Sweeney has been a topic of conversation in the football community lately because of her controversial ad promoting a sports betting app. The commercial received massive backlash from fans and stirred intense debate from female athletes over Sweeney’s role in the provocative ad campaign called “Just Sports” for the same platform.

Former Fox Sports 1 host Joy Taylor joined the debate with her brutal swipe at the “Euphoria” actress. In an episode of the “Two Personal” show that premiered on Friday, Taylor called out Sweeney and questioned her role in the viral commercial.

“A Black woman could never do this. Could never, absolutely not. Could never,” she said [Timestamp: 3:24]. “There would be riots in the streets. People would be protesting. I mean, listen, they got the recognition. The conversation went the way that they wanted to get and that they knew that she would get.

“And she definitely was going to make a controversial ad. Here’s the thing about Sydney Sweeney. Who doesn’t she p**s off? Because she’s not for women. Like women don’t f**k with her.”

Apart from Taylor, sportscaster Samantha Johnson also expressed her disapproval of Sweeney’s commercial. In her exclusive interview with Forbes, Johnson revealed that she found no connection between the actress and her role as a woman in sports.

“I couldn’t see the connection between her being half-naked and promoting a sports betting app. She looks amazing. But I just thought: What does this have to do with anything? This app isn’t targeted at me. This advertisement isn’t for me,” she said, sharing her personal views on the actress.

Joy Taylor reflected on shocking betrayal by ex-BF

Joy Taylor’s relationship with her ex-boyfriend ended on a bad note when she caught him allegedly cheating on her. While appearing on the “Get To The Point” podcast on Sept. 4, Taylor shared her breakup story and revealed how she used to take care of her ex-boyfriend’s finances.

“I was financially supporting my boyfriend, and he’s on the couch playing video games and stuff like that,” she said [Timestamp: 59:49]. “It’s been going on for like a month now, ’cause I was like, ‘Don’t worry about it. I got the bills, blah blah blah.’

“So, I’m like, it’s been a while, like we got to get a job, you know. Here’s some money, go get a drink, like clear your head. So, he goes out and cheats on me with a stripper with the money that I gave him.

Even though Taylor avoided sharing more details about her past relationship, she concluded the story by revealing how she left him after that incident. Two weeks after sharing a glimpse into her dating life, Taylor ripped Aaron Rodgers for allegedly shaming Shailene Woodley.
